After months of beta testing, iOS 10.3 is now available to download via Settings/General/Software Update.
iOS 10.3 has a host of new features that make it easier to use and much more secure.
Apple ID Profile
In the settings app, you will find your new Apple ID Profile section. This new area shows all the Apple devices you’ve used to sign in, as well as your contact info, security settings, iCloud and App Store settings, payment info and more.
Find My Airpods
The included Find my iPhone app now contains a new tool to make the Airpods emit a loud sound, so you can locate them. This feature only works on the last device that was connected to the Airpods.
A widget is now available for Podcasts on your Spotlight Search screen
Carplay now has a ‘most recently used’ section on the left side of the interface. The Maps App also displays EV Charging Stations.
The iCloud Settings page now shows you how much iCloud Storage you are using. It even gives you a graphical breakdown of the storage being used and by what type of files.
Apple File System
iOS 10.3 changes iPhone and iPad users over to the Apple File System which uses stronger encryption and is optimized for NAND Flash Storage.
Weather in Maps
3D Touch iPhone users can now hard press on a new weather icon in the Maps App to view specific area forecasts.
