The next iPhone could cost you a lot more, depending on the model you buy.
The device will most likely feature an OLED display that covers the entire front of the phone. This display would cost Apple close to twice as much as it’s present LCD display.
Also, there are rumors that the next iPhone will come in three screen sizes: 5.8″, 5.5″ and 4.7 inches.
Likely, only the two larger iPhone sizes will come with dual-lens cameras. The new phones are expected to have glass panels in the front and back with a stainless steel edge.
Other features may include a new Touch ID sensor behind the screen, as well as retina scanning and wireless charging. The buttons on the side of the device may also get replaced with touch sensors on the side of the device, helping to support a more waterproof design.
What will the next iPhone be called? Well, iPhone 7s is definitely out. Past rumors indicated it could be called iPhone 8, but more recent rumors indicate it could jump to iPhone 10 or iPhone ‘X’ as it will be the 10th Anniversary iPhone.
The next iPhone is expected to be unveiled sometime in the fall (iPhone events usually take place in September).
