An investigation has begun after a person was found dead in a conference room on Apple’s Cupertino campus. Information from a number sources is very limited at this point, but we’ll tell you what we’ve heard so far.
Sgt. Andrea Urena of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, which provides police services in Cupertino, described the death of a male employee as an “isolated incident” that poses no broader public danger.
Urena said sheriff’s deputies were called about 8:35 a.m. for a report of “a person down” and found a man dead. She added that no suspects are being sought.
“They found one individual male down and that he was deceased,” Urena said. “Through further investigation they determined that there were no other individuals involved and they believe it was an isolated incident, and that there’s nobody else on the campus or in the public that is at risk.”
KTVU’s Matt Kellar has followed the story as it happened this morning.
